I am a Certified Herbalist, Grower and wildcrafter. I have spent over 20 years studying plants. I studied the flora, as I was (and always will be) intrigued by what is growing around me and found great resources from people in my community including Barny Lipscomb and Robert O'Kennon who co-authored Flora of North Central Texas. As they inspired me, my curiosity only grew. I am fortunate enough to have the guidance from some of the Cherokee and other indigenous peoples as well. Some of the greatest rewards can come from listing to our ancestors. There have been many botanists, herbalists and indigenous people who have guided and mentored me along the way.
I studied at Trinity School of Natural Health and received my CMH certification. There I studied and have over 500 hours in Herbal Materia Medica, Kinesiology, Herbal Preparations, Chinese Herbology, Aromatherapy, Living Chemistry and Medical Jurisprudence. As an alum at Trinity School of Natural Health I have access to some of the most educated scholars in the field of natural health. I feel truly blessed to have been and continue being mentored by these professionals. I can truly say I am grateful for the relationship with our Mother Earth and all of the gifts she has given us. And I spend countless hours on our 100 + acre farm enjoying what these herbs want to teach me. I am the Founder and teacher/mentor at Fortress of Faith Adventures where people can experience hands on with regeneration practices. I am a member of the OAA, TravelOK.com, certified organic grower, and work with many others in our community.
